Oh boy was that trip fun. So as you can see we didn’t do a crazy amount of stuff. The Big Island is a pretty chill island. There are things to do and places to see, but most of it is like a huge day trip. It is the biggest island, and that means plenty of driving. Not to mention the fact that we were there during the government shutdown, and the Ironman competition…which meant busy busy busy.

Because things were so busy, we decided to just mostly stay around the resort, or do small day trips to beaches.

The town in the top pictures, is called Hawi (ha-Vi). It was small and quaint. We had some yummy ice cream and then headed elsewhere. But small interesting details, like the wooden carving face on the old chipping painted buildings. Details that are just really neat…that make you remember that this is totally a beach town.

So as the water washes away our little memory note on the beach…the 10 days went by so quickly. I can’t wait to go back to another island in a few years. Like I said…I love it there…too much!

Happy Friday lovelies, have a great weekend!

xoxo thanks for reading
